Singing bowls are traditionally made from a seven metal alloy but there are five metal alloy bowls. These are more generally used during religious ceremonies or during offerings.

The Tibetan seven metal bowls correspond to one of the seven planets associated with our 7 main chakras.

  1. Gold = Sun associated with the Crown Chakra

  2. Silver = Moon associated with the Forehead Chakra (third eye)

  3. Mercury = Mercury associated with the Throat Chakra

  4. Copper = Venus associated with the Heart Chakra

  5. Iron = Mars associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra

  6. Pewter = Jupiter associated with the Sacred Chakra

  7. Lead = Saturn associated with the Root Chakra
